It seems Facebook is in trouble again. Now the personal data of over 533 million Facebook users has been leaked online. Security researcher Alon Gal confirmed says that a user has posted the leaked data on a hacking forum. All the records are leaked free and can be accessed by anyone who has the link to the page.

The leaked data includes phone numbers, Facebook IDs, full names, locations, birthdates, bios, and email addresses of Facebook users from 106 countries. From these 533 million records, around 32 million records belong to the US users, 11 million are from the UK and around 6 million are from India.

It is important to note that the data was obtained by exploiting a vulnerability back in 2019. The vulnerability was also patched in 2019. This is the same data that was being sold through a Telegram bot earlier this year in January. Now the data is freely available.

Now when the data is available for free, it can be used for different kinds of financial frauds. So, it is the responsibility of Facebook to notify affected users.
