Apple has confirmed another launch event and most probably the last Apple event of the year. The company has sent out invites to the launch event that says, “One more thing.” Apple could announce its first Arm-based Macs running on Apple Silicon chips.

The event will be streamed on Apple’s site, the Apple TV app, and YouTube. Anyone can join and watch the launch event. It will take place on November 10 at 10 am PST, or 11.30 pm IST.

Back in June at WWDC this year, Apple announced its plans to switch to its own Apple Silicon CPUs from Intel processors. The company confirmed that the first computers running on Arm-based chips would be out later in 2020. Apple claims that this shift will boost the performance of Mac computers while keeping power consumption low.

As per rumors, the company could launch 13-inch MacBook Air and two different-sized MacBook Pro models with new Arm-based chips.

Even after the launch of ARM-based Macs, Intel-based Macs will still be relevant. There are a few new models currently in development and will ship alongside new Macs. The full shift from Apple to ARM-based computers will take at least 2 years.

Apple could also confirm the launch date of macOS 11 Big Sur in the same event.
