Today, Google announced a new feature for Gmail. This new feature is ‘Smart Compose’ that helps in composing emails quickly using machine learning.

As you type, Smart Compose shows suggestions of what you might type next. It uses machine learning to predict the next words of phrases.

This works well. You can keep writing emails as you regularly write. If it finds any suggestions, it will show you. In case you want to use the suggestions, click the “tab” button to use it. This will save your time and reduce the chance of spelling and grammatical errors.

Smart Compose

This feature is not instantly available. Google will be rolling out over the next few weeks. It will appear in new Gmail and will also be made available for G Suite customers.

It is worth to note that the feature will only be available to users using new Gmail. You can enable the new Gmail from Settings > “Try the new Gmail.” After this, go to general tab in your settings, scroll down and enable “experimental access.”

Last year, Google introduced Smart Reply in Gmail to help you reply to emails quickly. Now this smart compose is here to help you draft emails from scratch.
