Facebook has just introduced a new feature on Messenger that lets them share their location with friends and family. The company has begun rolling out feature globally on Android and iOS smartphones.

Location can be shared with a person or group of persons in chat. This feature is useful when you are trying to coordinate with friends for a meeting.

To share your live location in a message, tap on the location icon and then select the location. You will see a map of your current location and then tap a blue bar to share live location. Other persons with whom you shared your location will be able to see where you are you on the map for next 60 minutes.

You will also see the estimate of how long it would take to reach the destination. You also have the option to stop sharing the Live location anytime.

Not just live location, you can also share a static point on the map to show where you are.
