OnePlus has started teasing the OnePlus N6 Lite in India, adding a third model to its new N-series lineup. The company has published a teaser on Amazon India, where the phone is listed as “Coming Soon” with the tagline “Powerfully big.”

The teaser also gives us the first look at the phone. The OnePlus N6 Lite features a flat display with a centered punch-hole cutout, slim bezels and flat edges. The visible frame has a green finish, although OnePlus has not confirmed the final color options yet.

OnePlus has not revealed the specifications or launch date. However, leaks suggest the N6 Lite will sit below the recently launched OnePlus N6x, potentially making it the company’s most affordable smartphone in India. The N6x starts at ₹20,999 and comes with a 6.8-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD display, Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset and a 7,000mAh battery.

The N6 Lite is expected to focus heavily on battery life and a large display. Reports point to a 7,000mAh battery and a 4GB RAM variant, while an entry-level processor and HD+ display are also expected. These specifications remain unconfirmed by OnePlus.

The N6 Lite comes shortly after OnePlus introduced the OnePlus N6 and OnePlus N6x in India. The company appears to be taking a more aggressive approach to the budget segment instead of relying mainly on its Nord lineup.

The OnePlus N6, launched in June, features an 8,000mAh battery and a 120Hz display, while the N6x followed in July with a 7,000mAh battery and 120Hz display.

With the N6 Lite, OnePlus appears ready to move further down the price ladder. Recent reports suggest it could launch in India by the end of September, although OnePlus has not confirmed a date.

Pricing will be important. If OnePlus can bring the N6 Lite below ₹20,000, and potentially closer to the ₹15,000 segment, the company could make its N-series more competitive against budget offerings from Xiaomi, realme and Samsung.
