Xiaomi is set to make the official announcement for Redmi 4 at an event on November 4. This was confirmed by a teaser image posted by Xiaomi Yesterday,

Although the image does not say anything about the smartphone, we can guess the 2.5D curved glass on the top of the display. We can also see the metal construction.

This phone will come with MIUI out of the box and will feature both fingerprint and infrared sensors.

Specifications of the phone were confirmed when it received TENAA certification recently. We also saw rumours about hardware specifications of Redmi 4. According to those reports, this phone is expected to come with 5-inch 1080p display, octa-core processor with Qualcomm Chipset, 3GB RAM, 32 GB storage, 13 megapixels rear camera with dual LED flash, 5 megapixels front camera, fingerprint sensor at back and 4000 mAh large battery.

This phone is also expected to be expensive as compared to previous phones of the series. It is expected to be priced at CNY 1300, but this still makes it affordable.

Few reports also suggest the possible launch of affordable Redmi 4A alongside Redmi 4 at the same event. But we cannot confirm anything before official announcements.

Stay tuned for more details.
