Although Google couldn’t create a buzz for its Pixel phones in India, it managed to get strong sales in the premium segment. As per the initial reports, Google’s Pixel phones captured a 10% share of the premium smartphone segment in India.

This premium segment is for the smartphones priced higher than Rs. 30000. In he absence of Galaxy Note 7, Pixel became a considerable product for those who wanted to own an Android phone. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge was the strong competitor but Samsung’s recent Note 7 controversy also hurt the sales of these two S series smartphones. Still, Samsung managed to be second largest in this segment.
