A new bug in Google Chrome force it to crash just by typing 16 characters in Address bar. Initially, a blogger Andris Atteka managed to find a 26 character link to crash Google Chrome. But folks at Venture Beat managed to remove 10 characters and managed to crash Google Chrome just by using 16 characters URL.

If you want to try this, open Google Chrome in Windows or Mac and paste this: http://a/%%30%30 in address barPaste and press enter. Google Chrome will crash immediately. Before trying this, make sure to check if you have not any important tab open. This bug has no effect on Chrome for Android or iOS.

Google confirmed that the bug exists and explained that the bug was a result of a DOS vulnerability. Google representative also confirmed that it is not a security bug so we do not need to worry about that. But it will surely give users a chance to play prank with friends.
