Taylor Swift Apple MusicTaylor Swift is not happy with the three-month free trial of Apple music offered to subscribers. This is because Apple will not pay royalties to artists in trial period. So, she has pulled her popular album 1989 from Apple Music. She expressed that she has respect for Apple but this decision is not good. Most of the Swift’s music album will be on Apple Music but not this specific album just to show her protest.

“I’m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service. I’m not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months. I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company,” She wrote.

She keep on adding that she has a band to live perform her music and popular albums. So, she already has good earning and the three months trial will not add big impact. But this decision will hurt new artists who are dependent on this earning. She said that most of the artists are not happy but they are afraid in giving public statements.

“Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing. I say this with love, reverence, and admiration for everything else Apple has done,” She added

Taylor suggested Apple to pay money to artists even in trial period. I guess she is not wrong. Apple is offering trial period to offer users to try its own service. But why should artists suffer because Apple want its users to give things for free. Apple should respect the talent of artists. Their music will be used
