Users’ reactions on Myntra’s App-only Move

Myntra to become app-only from 15 May

Myntra to become app-only from 15 MayFrom today, Myntra is available only on mobile app. If you want to shop on Myntra, you will have to install mobile app and shop via your smartphone or tablet. While most of the users seem not happy, few users are comfortable with this move. We decided to talk to many Indian shoppers to know their reaction.

Before moving with users’ reactions, I want to say one thing. People hate changes because they do not want to change their perception until they are forced to change. When Computer was introduced in India, people hated the move but it became revolution. Myntra’s this move can also be revolutionary and can help you in becoming more comfortable with your smartphone if you are not already. If you can see, the next era is of wearable with smart glasses and smart watches. So, use of technology is on the go is very important. MYntra wants you to have personalized shopping experience even on the go. Mobile app helps Myntra to understand your behaviour and then it can recommend better product. If you are not happy, then you must try at least giving Myntra app a try for at least a month.

“Myntra is doing wrong. While on move, I use smartphone to access internet but at home, I use my laptop for web browsing. Shopping is not the thing which we can do on the go. I prefer Myntra’s website to select dresses and shop. I am not agree with this decision. They are wrong. They have no rights to force customers,” said, Anju Shukla (Mumbai).

“Its wrong to go totally as an mobile app as everyone don’t have access to smartphones. No,I am not comfortable in shopping with mobile apps,” Said Shubha Sharma (Noida).

“Yeah i’m comfortable while shopping with mobile app. But this sort of restriction that user have to install the app first and then search for desired product makes me uncomfortable,” said Punit Tongia (www.trendingonindia.com).

“I don’t do online shopping because of size issue. I prefer to go and try clothes before buying. SO, I don’t have anything to say about this,” Said Pavitra (Ghaziabad).

“I usually shop via mobile apps. So, I do not have problem in using Myntra’s app for shopping. But I also think that website should be there. We cannot use smartphone all the time.” Said Anurag Mishra (Ghaziabad).

“Well it iss not a good thing. customers should have their own choice also I rarely use app to shop only, I always PC while shopping because it is convenient to shop via PC as we get bigger and better view. I guess same goes with every user. In Fact e-commerce websites are giving discounts to app users because not many use apps to buy. So i think Myntra has not done a good thing and this will hamper their business,” said Indrajeet Bhuyan (Guwahati).
