Users can also access on-demand ad-free subscription service called Rdio Unlimited. It lets users listen any playlist or album both offline and online for Rs. 120 per month.

Last March, it acquired Indian music streaming service Dhingana to bring Indian expertise in its team. It also partnered with music identification Shazam and SoundHound. Rdio has been signing partnerships with music labels in India to get millions of songs in portfolio before India lauch. India launch was expected in december last year. But it was delayed due to delay in partnership with Indian music labels.

It also supports Chromecase and car devices like AppRadio Live and Harman Aha Radio.

In India, Ganna.com and Saavn are the most popular rival. Rdio will have to put enough money on marketing to get initial users. We can expect online retailer partnership for free access to subscription based service as promotion.

If you want to give it a try, listen to music on Rdio.
