Microsoft increases OneDrives Maximum File Size Upload limit from 2GB to 10GB

Microsoft announced that OneDrive now supports file upload up to 10 GB using desktop and mobile apps. Earlier, this limit was only 2GB. This feaure was added on the request of users. Microsoft confirms that this feature will also be available for business users but didn’t specify the date.

Microsoft has also increased the number of files that can be downloaded or uploaded simultaneously from desktop to your OneDrive account. So, the sync process will be faster. This feature will be available in coming weeks.

Windows 7 and 8 users can now get links for shating OneDrive files directly from Windows Explorer. There is no need to sign into OneDrive web account. This feature is also rolling out gradually and will be available in coming days.

Microsoft has also added drag and drop folder upload to OneDrive for Google Chrome or other modern browser which supports folder drag and drop. This was another most requested feature.
