Google Launches ‘Made with Code’ initiative to Encourage More Girls to Learn Computer Science

Google has announced that it will provide up to $50 million to the organization which will encourage and help girls to take interest in computer science. This strategy is the part of ‘Made With Code‘ initiative. For this, Google has partnered with Codecademy and online charity DonorsChoose. Under this initiative, they will encourage highschool girls to learn computer science.

Revealed as part of its newly launched Made with Code initiative, the cash will be used for things like “rewarding teachers who support girls who take CS courses on Codecademy or Khan Academy,” Susan Wojcicki said in a blog post today.

If a girl student will complete the course designed by the CodeCademy, she will receive $125 in rewards. Teacher will also earn $500 in rewards if four of his students finish the module online.

Google hopes the effort will help girls to encourage to become computer programmer. Girls can learn computer science and come in this profession.
