Today Sony has launched its new smartphone named Sony Xperia Z2 in India. It is priced at Rs 49,990. The smartphone will be available from the beginning of 12th May and users will get a  free Sony smartband tracker along with the handset. Sony Xperia Z2 will be available in three colors namely  Black, White and Purple. We have published yesterday that the firm is planning to launch Sony Xperia Z2 on 8th May as they were sending invites to different technology presses according to the report.

Sony Xperia Z2 was first introduced at the Mobile world Congress in February this year. It is considered to be successor of Xperia Z1. There are many features and the specifications that are upgraded in this smartphone as compared to Xperia Z1. It has  a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display. It is powered by a  2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. Sony Xperia Z2 has a 20.7 MP rear facing camera that is capable of recording 4k video @ 120fps. It is also equipped with 2.2MP front facing camera. Like all other Sony smartphones Sony Xperia Z2 is also water and dust resistant.

Other features include 3GB of RAM,  16GB of internal storage with microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and NFC. The battery backup of the smartphone seems good as it has 3200 mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with many preloaded applications like  Xperia Lounge, TrackID and Sony Select.  Sony Xperia Z2 will run on latest version of Android 4.4 that is Kitkat.
