Earlier, Anonymous claimed to hack Dropbox via Twitter. And then another hacktivist group, 1775sec also tried to take credit behind Dropbox outage.

After few hours, 1775sec also posted a link to show few data they breached. But Dropbox denied everything. So, hackers started posting that they have trolled the world with false news of Dropbox data breach. Data hackers posted was old user data. Now, 1775sec is saying that they trolled the world but it is clear that they tried to took the credit as Anonymous do. Later Anonymous supported 1775sec because of that false link of user data breach which they thought was real and taken back their claim. If Dropbox didn’t respond in time, we are sure that few other hacking grouping also took claim.

Dropbox denied that their service was hacked. Company accepted that service was down and they said that reason was routine internal maintenance.

“We are aware that the Dropbox site is currently down. This was caused during routine internal maintenance, and was not caused by external factors. We are working to fix this as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Dropbox posted on status page.
