Google Now Lets users Download GMail and Google Calendar Data

Finally, Google has rolled out its long requested feature in GMail. Users can download a copy of Gmail and Google Calendar data. Download your emails and calendar data and export in other services if you want to migrate.

You can either download all your emails and calendars of choose a subset of labels and calendars. You can download Gmail and Calendar data here.

Google also has another service Google Takeout that lets you download data for other Google services including YouTube, Google Contacts, Google Voice, Google Location History and other Google services. But Gmail was not available in this list.

Downloading of calendar data is now available for everyone but GMail emails download will be available to download over next month. Most probably, it will be available next year in January.

This was a much requested feature and users need to wait few weeks more. You can see in the snap that Gmail option is also there. But it will not be there in your account.
