Google’s New Shared Endorsements Policy; Learn How to Opt Out of it

Google has announced that starting from November 11, It will change its Terms of Service. Google will add new Shared Endorsements policy that will use adult users’ name, pictures and comments in ads across Internet. Google has only been using users +1 data in ads and search result.

Google also warned users before updating its policy. “Think before you share. What you share online—any text message, picture, email or status update—has the potential to be seen beyond where you intended it to,” Google posted on Google+.

Google also said that under 18 users will not be included in the policy but for other users, it will be active by default. If you do not want Google to use your profile picutre, name or comments in its ads, you need to opt out from this.

Learn How to Opt Out of Shared Endorsements Policy

If you want to opt out, visit the Shared Endorsements page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and then unselect the checkbox at the bottom of the page. And you are done. After this, Google will never use your data in public advertisements.
