Canonical has announced that their official Ubuntu Forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/) has been hacked. Currently the forum is down and redirecting users to the official announcement page.

Company confirms that the attacker got the access to users’ username, password and email address. But the good thing is that passwords are stored in salted hashes. Canonical also confirmed that other Ubuntu services are not affected with this breach.

In the meantime, we also got to know about the hacker who did this. A person with handle @sputn1k_ has performed this attack. See the image posted by nuke_99.
