Microsoft Confirms 200 Million SkyDrive Users, Windows Live Mesh Will to Retire

Microsoft has announced a new milestone for its cloud storage service SkyDrive. Now SkyDrive has more than 200 million users and still counting new users daily. Microsoft is also getting benefit of SkyDrive integration with other Microsoft apps.

“With the significant investments in bringing the DNA of Mesh together with SkyDrive, there are now over 200 million people that have used SkyDrive, and more and more are making the move every day. So while Windows Live Mesh was at one point used by a few million people, most have made the move and there are now less than 25,000 active users of Windows Live Mesh,” Microsoft announced.

In addition, Microsoft has also announced that it is retiring Windows Live Mesh and it will not be available after February 13, 2013. SO remaining Mesh users should sync their files with SkyDrive and make a move to it.

Microsoft has also given instructions for users that will help them to move from Live Mesh to SkyDrive. Although SkyDrive is different from Mesh in look and feel but it is similar in many ways. Microsoft has also shows how to do Mesh tasks in SkyDrive. Read all instructions here.
