China Blocks Multiple Google’s Services

China blocks GoogleAccording to various reports, China has began blocking Google’s services which includes Gmail, Google Maps and many other. People were thinking that the problem is from Google, but Google has confirmed “there’s nothing wrong on our end.”

The cause of this blockage is unclear but it comes just the day before the start of the Communist Party’s 18th National Congress in China. This may be a reason. It is also unclear whether this is a temporary move or china will continue to block Google’s web services.

According to reports, when some one tries to visit Google.com, he is redirected to a non functional IP address (59.24.3.173). That IP address is located in Korea.This time, the number of affected people is large because of Gmail and Google Maps inclusion in the block list.

Relationship between Google and China has never been Good. Now it will be interesting to see the China’s move after the congress is over.
