Yahoo’s photo sharing service Flickr has rolled out a new design. This new design is claim to be fast with new HTML5 image uploader.
With new HTML5 design, Yahoo has also include drag and drop functionality for image uploading. So users can easily add photos by dragging them into the browser. Now it will also show thumbnails of photos so you can manage and change the order of photos easily before sending them to photostream. You can also zoom, rotate or sort your photos by title within the uploader itself, as opposed to within the photostream.
When you upload a photo or drag it into the uploader, preview thumbnail will pop up, and you can start adding descriptions, titles and more. It now also allow tagging. So you can also tag your friends into a photo.
For privacy reasons, all files will remain private by dfault until you choose to make them public.
Along with the new look, Flicker also increased the file size limits for pro users up to 50MB and for free users up to 30MB. It also claims that upload speed is also improved by 20-30% on average.
