Some popular pages have been found which are spreading fake antivirus containing malware. Security researchers from GIF have found that some fake websites are spreading malware and claiming that the tool is powered by Google.

When users visit the malicious page, it shows a false warning,”Google systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer. Please check you PC on viruses. To continue, please download and install our antivirus software. [DOWNLOAD button] or our system will block your access to Google services.”

Users who believe in this fake warning and download the fake antivirus are served a malicious file containing Trojan.Win32.Fakeav.tri (v).

Readers of Techlomedia are advised to ignore any this kind of fake warning and not to download this kind of malicious antivirus even if it is powered by Google.
