Google search algorithm updated again. Now website with heavy ads will be penalized by Google.

Google has announced a new change in the Google search algorithm which is going to be trouble for those webmasters who loads their website with heavy ads. Now Google will penalize websites that shows ads more than content on the top of the page.

Its hard to find content on those websites which uses too much ads on the website. Most of the users do not want to go to those website again. Now its a chance to those website which have better content but low SEO.

“As we’ve mentioned previously, we’ve heard complaints from users that if they click on a result and it’s difficult to find the actual content, they aren’t happy with the experience,” Google’s Matt Cutts wrote in blog.

“So sites that don’t have much content ‘above-the-fold’ can be affected by this change. If you click on a website and the part of the website you see first either doesn’t have a lot of visible content above-the-fold or dedicates a large fraction of the site’s initial screen real estate to ads, that’s not a very good user experience. Such sites may not rank as highly going forward,” he explained.

Cutts said that ads above the fold is good only if they are not hiding the content. If the website is easy to navigate and content is visible, then websmasters do not need to worry. The algorithm change only affects one percent of searches
