Google has redesigned the advanced search page with a new look which seems good. It also removed 2 options that weren’t used very often: finding pages that are similar to a page and pages that link to a page.  This new look is better than the previous look.

This advance search is used by very few persons and many users do not about this page. So it is not a priority for Google and gets less updates.

But a blog Google Operating system has discovered somethins wrong in this new design. In this new design, all the drop downs are created using javascript so you can not use keyboard shortcuts. And most of the users who use this advance search page are those who prefer to use keyboard.

In dropdown lists, you can only select option with mouse so you have to scroll up and down till you find you option. For big drowdown lists such as country, it will take time to select a country.  It’s clearly not the best or the fastest approach.

We know Google will fix all these things. But this type of errors are not expected from the company like Google
