Indian IT sector has climbed 10 spot in the ranking of IT companies according to Business Software Alliance’s 2011 Global IT Industry Competitiveness Index. In the last published list in 2009 India was on the 44th position among the 66 countries. This year India has done better and got 34th rank. “This year, given the increased focus on human capital and R&D, India has raced 10 spots to 34th position, ahead of China and other BRIC countries,” BSA India Committee Chair Keshav Dhakad told reporters. “To continue its trajectory as a rising IT power, India will increasingly need a safe and secure digital economy that inspires the trust and confidence of government, business and citizens, especially as markets across Asia become more competitive,” he added. India is now better than the china which is at 39th place. Indian IT market is keeps on improving. But most of the good talent goes to other countries so India has to face some difficulties. But India is a big sector in IT industry.
