Google tests Mobile homepage with places buttonsNow days Google is working on testing of new features for its apps and search results. In the series of this testing Google has now added a place button to its mobile homepage. it has started testing Places integration on the Google homepage for mobile devices.

The buttons provide quick links to Restaurants, Coffee, Bars as well as a drop-down menu with more categories. There’s nothing new here, all of the data is already accessible via Google Maps, Place pages and sometimes via search results as well. But this will provide a quicker access to these things.

This means Google gives equal importance to its mobile search. And mobile technology is on boom with the increasing use of smartphones and tablets. So Google want to give better search experience to its visitors with better features. This is the main reason of this new feature testing.
