Several YouTube videos and users on forums promote Onlyshares as a platform to download OnlyFans content for free. People who don’t know about OnlyFans, it is a subscription-based social media platform that allows creators to earn money by sharing content with their followers. OnlyFans is primarily used for sharing adult-oriented content, but it also hosts a wide range of content. The platform gained popularity because porn stars use the platform to share adult content to their subscribers.
People who do not want to pay for the subscription usually look for free ways to download content from OnlyFans. This is the reason a few platforms promise to provide ways to download content from OnlyFans.
Recently, I found a few questions on Reddit where people were asking if Onlyshares is legit. So, I decided to check it and see if the platform actually works,
When I opened the website, it had a text box to enter the username and a button to Download content. On the web page, it has nowhere mentioned that it can download content from OnlyFans or any other website. If you directly open the website, you cannot say what exactly, it can do. The website doesn’t mention the name of OnlyFans or any other website to avoid any lawsuit.
It just asks users to enter the username to download content. In the bottom half of the web page, it also shows a list of recent downloads.
I entered a random text in the username box and clicked on the Download content button. To my surprise, it was asking me to wait while the platform was downloading the content. In a few seconds, it made a ZIP file of 15.23GB of content and asked me to complete a human verification before I could download the content.
When it could make a ZIP of content for a random username that doesn’t exist, you can assume the platform is fake.
The Human Verification was a survey. I needed to fill out the survey before I could download anything.
This makes it clear that the platform is trying to earn by SURVEY ads and has no actual usage. It traps users on the name of OnlyFans downloads and then earns by forcing them to fill out surveys. In the end, users get nothing and go in search of any other platform to download content from OnlyFans
Is Onlyshares legit?
NO
After I tested the platform, I can genuinely say that OnlyShare.net is not legit. you cannot download content from OnlyFans. You will end up filling out random surveys and giving your personal data to advertisers.
I also checked it with Scam Detector which also calls the website fake and gave OnlyShares.net a score of 0.5 out of 100. It also suggests users stay away from it.
OnlyShares.net is not the only website that is scamming people in the name of OnlyFans downloads. There are also several other websites including Thotsbay. I can’t list all here, but suggest users do proper research before giving personal details on any random website.
OnlyFans is a subscription-based service and I recommend people to pay for the subscription of users to get their content. In search of free downloads, you may end up landing on a Phishing website and lose your data or money.
