There are also several other browsers based on Chromium. Those browsers also share the same features as Chrome. If you want to switch tabs, you can click on the tab using the mouse. But doing this task with a keyboard shortcut can save you time. In this article, I will tell you keyboard shortcuts to switch tabs in Chrome.

The easiest way to switch between tabs in Chrome is the keyboard shortcut Cmd + Shift + A (Mac) or Alt + Shift + A (Windows). Press this keyboard shortcut will open a sidebar of your recent tabs. Then you can click the tab or use the arrow keys to navigate to the tab and press enter.

Keyboard shortcut to switch tabs on a Mac

If you using Google Chrome on Mac, you can there are different keyboard shortcuts for navigating through different tabs and switching between tabs.

For switching to the next tab, use Command+ Option + Right Arrow.
For switching to the previous tab, use Command+ Option + Left Arrow.

You can also use Control + Tab for navigating from the first to the last tab one by one. Use Control + Shift + Tab to navigate from the last to the first tab one by one.

If you want to go to a specific tab, you can also use the number key with the Command.

For switching to the last tab, directly press Command+9

It means you can go from 1 to the 8th tab using the command and number keys.
