How to Create a Windows 8 Bootable DVD

Windows 8 Consumer Preview is now available to download. This is a stp-by-step guide to create a bootable DVD of Windows 8. If you do not have DVD media, create a bootable USB to install it on your system

  • Download the ISO image of Windows 8 which is available for free at microsoft.com.
  • Download and install the Windows 7 DVD / USB tool available at microsoftstore.com. This is again a free tool and supports Windows XP, Vista and 7.
  • Now Run this Windows 7 DVD / USB tool and browse the ISO file that you have already downloaded.
  • Now select the media type. If you are creating a bootable DVD, use DVD as the media type else use USB device in case you want to create a bootable USB flash drive.
  • Now click on begin burning.
  • In the next few minutes, the bootable DVD will be ready for you. Use this to install Windows 8 on your system.
