Huawei rolls out VoWiFi Calling support

Earlier today. Huawei has announced the rollout of Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) calling support for its smartphones.

VoWiFi feature lets users make calls over the Wi-Fi network to other VoWiFi supported smartphones when the mobile network is not available. VoWiFi call.

“Huawei is a global leader when it comes to communication technology. To open a new realm for advanced modes of communication, we have introduced the VoWiFi calling feature for Huawei users in India,” a Huawei Consumer Business Group spokesperson said in a statement.

Huawei has confirmed that the VoWiFi support on Huawei smartphones complies with 3GPP specifications and uses EPC (ePDG), SingleSDB (3GPP AAA), and IMS as core control architecture.

Users who don’t get a proper mobile network at this home or workplace will get the benefit from it. With Wi-Fi available, VoWiFi calls will be available even if the mobile network isn’t available.
