Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone Air, a brand-new member of the iPhone family. It is the thinnest iPhone ever made and measures just 5.6mm. Even with a slim profile, it still delivers pro performance and all-day battery life. The phone features a titanium build, a durable Ceramic Shield 2 display, and advanced Apple silicon that makes it both powerful and efficient.
iPhone Air comes with a grade 5 titanium frame that is light yet strong. The frame is paired with a new internal architecture. Apple has also redesigned the back with a precision-milled plateau to house the cameras and components, creating more space for the battery. Both the front and back are now protected with Ceramic Shield, with the new Ceramic Shield 2 offering 3x better scratch resistance and 4x better crack resistance compared to earlier iPhones.

The phone features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. It also delivers up to 3000 nits peak brightness, making it the brightest iPhone display yet and easier to use outdoors.
iPhone Air is powered by the A19 Pro chip, supported by Apple’s N1 networking chip and the new C1X modem. The A19 Pro delivers a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU for next-level gaming, and built-in Neural Accelerators for running advanced AI tasks on the device. The new C1X modem is 2x faster than before while using 30% less energy, making iPhone Air both powerful and efficient.
iPhone Air runs on iOS 26, which brings a refreshed design, new privacy-focused Apple Intelligence features, and improvements across apps like FaceTime, Maps, and Music. Apple Intelligence also introduces Live Translation for real-time conversations and smarter visual intelligence for screenshots and searches.

Apple has introduced a new 48MP Fusion Main Camera on iPhone Air that acts like having four lenses in one. It supports popular focal lengths like 28mm and 35mm, along with an optical-quality 2x telephoto lens. The upgraded Photonic Engine ensures lifelike details and better colors, even in low light.
On the front, iPhone Air debuts the 18MP Center Stage camera with a square sensor, which automatically adjusts to fit more people into selfies and keeps users centered during video calls. Dual Capture also allows recording from both front and rear cameras at the same time.
The N1 chip powers the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, improving performance for AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, and other wireless features.
Despite being the thinnest iPhone, iPhone Air offers all-day battery life thanks to its redesigned architecture and Adaptive Power Mode in iOS 26. It also uses an eSIM-only design, to make it slimmer while offering better security and flexibility when traveling.
Apple is also launching a new range of accessories, including a slim MagSafe Case, lightweight Bumper, Crossbody Strap, and a new MagSafe Battery Pack that can extend usage to 40 hours of video playback.
