realme has launched the realme 16x 5G in India. It is the company’s latest smartphone in the number series and focuses on a large display, long battery life and durability.
The realme 16x 5G has a 6.8-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. It can reach up to 1,200 nits of HBM brightness and is protected by Panda Glass.
The phone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It has two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2GHz. Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
realme has added a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to help manage temperatures during heavy use. The phone comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Storage can also be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The realme 16x 5G runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0. It includes features such as Gemini Live, AI Assistant for Notes and AI Eraser.
The realme 16x 5G has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. It can record videos at up to 1080p at 30fps. An 8-megapixel front camera is available for selfies and video calls.
The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an AI Pulse Light for notifications. It also features a bottom-firing 1115 Ultra-Linear speaker with up to 400% Ultra Volume. The phone supports 5G on multiple bands, along with dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and GPS. It also has a USB Type-C port.
The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery. It supports 45W fast charging and also offers bypass charging. The phone supports 6.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices from the phone.
realme is also promising long-term battery and performance reliability. The company claims a six-year battery lifespan and a 60-month fluency guarantee.
Despite the large battery, the phone measures 8.88mm in thickness and weighs 217 grams. The phone also focuses on durability. It has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and carries MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade durability. realme has used its ArmorShell structural design for the phone.
realme 16x 5G price in India
The realme 16x 5G starts at Rs. 25,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 6GB + 128GB model costs Rs. 27,999, while the 6GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 30,999.
realme is offering a Rs. 1,000 bank discount and an additional Rs. 2,000 exchange discount on Flipkart and realme.com. With these offers, the effective prices start at Rs. 23,999.
