Qualcomm and ASUS have announced the ASUS Ascent QN10 at Computex 2026. It is the first mini PC powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X2 Elite platform.
With this launch, Qualcomm is bringing its Snapdragon X Series chips beyond laptops and into the desktop PC market.
The ASUS Ascent QN10 comes in a compact form factor with a chassis volume of less than 0.7 liters. ASUS claims it is around 86% smaller than a standard 5-liter mini PC, which makes it easy to fit into offices, studios, and home workspaces.
The mini PC is powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. Qualcomm says the chip is capable of handling demanding tasks such as content creation, software development, multitasking, AI workloads, and large data processing while consuming less power than traditional desktop platforms.
THe Snapdragon X2 Elite features a 80 TOPS NPU. The company says this allows users to run AI models and AI-powered tools directly on the device instead of relying on cloud processing. Qualcomm specifically mentioned support for AI tools and agents such as Cursor, Claude Desktop, OpenAI Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, and OpenCode.
The system includes seven USB ports, including three USB4 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and one USB 2.0 port.
ASUS is targeting developers, creators, businesses, and enterprise customers with the new mini PC. Qualcomm also says the platform is suitable for business deployments and digital signage applications. The mini PC can support up to four 4K displays at the same time.
The company has not yet revealed pricing or availability details.
The launch is important because this marks Qualcomm’s entry into the desktop PC segment. Until now, Snapdragon X processors have mainly been used in Windows laptops.
