Ash Echoes is officially shutting down, with developer Neocraft Limited confirming that the game’s servers will permanently go offline on June 18, 2026.

More importantly for players, today, May 7, is the final day to download the game. After today, new downloads and in-app purchases will no longer be available. Players who already have the game installed can continue playing until the shutdown date, but anyone who misses today’s cutoff will lose the chance to access the game entirely.

Ash Echoes launched globally in November 2024 for iOS, Android, and PC. The game tried to stand out in the crowded anime RPG market with a mix of real-time tactical combat, sci-fi themes, and story-heavy progression. Set in the fractured world of Senlo after a dimensional event called the Skyrift, players took on the role of the Director of S.E.E.D. and commanded a team of Echomancers.

The title gained attention for its anime-inspired art style, cinematic presentation, and character-focused storytelling. It managed to build a loyal niche community, especially among players looking for something different from traditional turn-based gacha games. But in the live-service market, a loyal niche audience is often not enough.

According to available figures, the game generated around $865,000 in lifetime global player spending. For a live-service RPG operating across multiple platforms with ongoing content development, servers, voice acting, and frequent updates, that revenue was likely far below sustainable levels.

Neocraft is releasing the game’s final content update today alongside the download shutdown.

To soften the shutdown, Neocraft is offering account transfers to two of its other games: Tree of Savior: Neo and Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth. Players who transfer accounts will receive compensation equivalent to their Ash Echoes purchases in the form of in-game currency for those titles.
