Bengaluru-based startup Spill Games has raised $3.1 million in a seed funding round led by Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital. The funding comes at a time when mobile gaming continues to grow rapidly, with global revenues expected to cross $100 billion in the next few years.

Spill Games was founded by Om Misra, Tapan Ranjan, and Harsh Garg. The company is trying to approach mobile game development in a more structured way. Instead of relying heavily on a single viral hit, the company is focusing on building systems that can consistently produce and scale multiple games.

At the core of this strategy is an in-house engine called Compass. This system is designed to streamline key parts of game development such as analytics, monetisation, retention, and live operations. The idea is to reduce development time and improve efficiency. This allows the company to launch games faster and test more ideas with fewer resources.

Spill Games currently operates in the casual and puzzle gaming segment. Its portfolio includes titles like Cozy Finds, Sticker by Number, and Zen Math Crossword. According to the company, three of its games have already achieved positive unit economics, which suggests early signs of sustainability, although long-term performance will depend on continued user engagement and scaling.

The company plans to use the fresh funding to expand its portfolio, improve its internal technology stack, and grow its team. Over the next 18 months, it aims to test more than 20 new game prototypes and build a portfolio of five to ten profitable titles. It is also exploring a broader monetisation strategy by moving beyond ad-led revenue models into hybrid-casual formats and in-app purchases.
