TCL has introduced its new flagship X11L SQD-Mini LED TV series at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The new TVs aim to push picture quality and brightness to new levels using advanced display technology. The series is now available for pre-order in three large screen sizes.

The X11L SQD-Mini LED TVs come in 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch models, with prices starting around $6,999 for the 75-inch, $7,999 for the 85-inch and $9,999 for the largest 98-inch option.

X11L series features TCL’s new SQD-Mini LED display technology. It combines Super Quantum Dots, a CSOT UltraColor Filter, and an Advanced Colour Purity Algorithm to improve colour accuracy and consistency. TCL claims this setup can achieve 100 per cent coverage of the BT.2020 colour space.

The TVs also use a new CSOT WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel, which delivers high static contrast and stable wide viewing angles. TCL says the panel helps maintain picture quality from different seating positions. This makes it suitable for larger living rooms and home theatre setups.

It has a peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits, which can produce brilliant highlights and rich HDR performance. The X11L also features up to 20,000 discrete local dimming zones, which help control backlight intensity at a very granular level. This should boost contrast while reducing unwanted halo effects caused by bright objects on dark backgrounds.

TCL has upgraded its image processing engine. It uses the new TSR AI Processor and an improved 26-bit backlight controller. Together, these systems apply AI-based adjustments for colour, contrast, motion, clarity, and upscaling. TCL says this should improve overall picture quality, especially for lower-resolution content.

TCL has also refined its Halo Control System, which works with the Mini LED backlight and the new AI processor. According to the company, this helps produce deeper blacks and better shadow detail, while keeping blooming — the light bleed around bright objects — to a minimum

The X11L series comes in an ultra-thin design that measures just around 0.8 inches deep. TCL says this allows the TVs to sit close to the wall, giving them a clean and modern look. The new models also include Art Mode and Art Gallery, which let the screen display art or photos when not actively playing video content.

It runs Google TV with Gemini AI. Users can search for shows, use voice commands, and receive personalised recommendations through natural language interaction. TCL also includes a backlit voice remote and hands-free voice control to make navigation easier.

The X11L series features audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen. TCL also supports an expandable home theatre audio system. It allows buyers to add an optional wireless subwoofer and additional surround speakers.

While TCL has not shared a full specification sheet yet, early reports confirm support for four HDMI 2.1 ports, which are ideal for next-gen gaming consoles and high-frame-rate content. The TVs also support popular HDR formats such as Dolby Vision 2.0 Max and HDR10+, with future over-the-air updates planned.

The TCL X11L SQD-Mini LED TVs are available for preorder now in select markets. TCL is showcasing the new series at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
