LG has announced the return of its Wallpaper TV at CES 2026. The new model is called the LG OLED evo W6, and it brings back the ultra-thin design that first grabbed attention in 2017. This time, LG is adding wireless connectivity and upgraded picture technology to justify its comeback.

The most notable feature of this Wallpaper TV is its thickness. LG says the TV is just around nine millimeters thin, making it one of the slimmest OLED TVs ever made. The TV is designed to sit completely flush against the wall, which helps it look more like a part of the wall than a traditional television. From a design point of view, LG is clearly targeting premium homes and users who care a lot about aesthetics.

Instead of plugging devices directly into the TV, all ports are placed inside a separate Zero Connect Box. This box can be kept up to 10 meters away and sends video and audio to the TV wirelessly. LG claims the signal is visually lossless and supports full 4K content. While this keeps the TV clean and cable-free, it still means you need another box in the room, which may not appeal to everyone.

This smart TV comes with Hyper Radiant Color Technology. LG promises better brightness, stronger colors, and deeper blacks with less screen reflection. LG claims the new Wallpaper TV can get nearly four times brighter than older OLED models. It also uses a new screen coating to reduce reflections, which should help in bright rooms. This has always been a weak point for OLED TVs, so this improvement is welcome.

For gaming, the Wallpaper TV supports a 4K 165Hz refresh rate along with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync. This puts it among the best gaming TVs on paper. Response time and low latency are also strong points, which LG OLED TVs are already known for.

It packs LG’s new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3. LG says the chip is much more powerful and uses two AI systems at the same time to improve image quality. The idea is to reduce noise without making the picture look artificial. This sounds good on paper, but real world performance will matter more than AI numbers.

LG is also leaning heavily into personalization. With the latest version of webOS, the TV can recognize different users by voice and switch profiles automatically. It also supports AI assistants like Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for voice based queries. While these features sound impressive, many users still prefer simple and fast interfaces over AI heavy experiences.

LG has not revealed pricing yet, but this TV will clearly sit at the very top of its lineup. The original Wallpaper TVs were extremely expensive, and this new model is unlikely to be any different.
