LG has announced a new home audio system called LG Sound Suite. The focus on this system is flexibility, a simpler setup, and better surround sound for modern living rooms. At the center of the lineup is the H7 soundbar, which is the first soundbar in the world to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.
LG Sound Suite is designed to work closely with LG premium TVs, but it is not limited to a single fixed layout. Consumers can mix and match different wireless components, including the H7 soundbar, M7 and M5 surround speakers, and the W7 subwoofer. LG says this allows up to 27 different setup combinations. Users can start with a basic setup and expand over time, or build a large system that supports up to 13.1.7 channels.
One of the key features consumers need to understand is Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. Traditional Dolby Atmos systems usually require specific speaker placement and careful wiring. FlexConnect removes much of this complexity. It allows compatible speakers to connect wirelessly and automatically adjusts audio based on where the speakers are placed in the room. The system detects speaker positions and tunes the sound so that Dolby Atmos effects still feel immersive, even if the speakers are not placed symmetrically.
With the H7 soundbar acting as the main device, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect can work with any TV through HDMI. LG has also confirmed that FlexConnect will come to its 2026 premium TV lineup and select 2025 models through a future software update. This gives buyers more freedom when choosing or upgrading their TV and audio setup.
The system supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, making wireless streaming and device pairing straightforward. Setup is designed to be quick, without the need for complex calibration steps that are common in traditional home theater systems.
To improve sound quality further, LG has added features like Sound Follow and Room Calibration Pro. Sound Follow uses ultra-wideband technology to adjust the sound based on where the listener is sitting, so the audio stays balanced even if the user moves around. Room Calibration Pro analyzes the room’s acoustics and uses AI processing to fine-tune the sound output.
The H7 soundbar is powered by LG’s Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, which is also used in LG’s high-end OLED TVs. For consumers, this means better sound processing, clearer dialogue, and improved separation between voices, music, and sound effects. LG says stereo content can also be up-mixed into multi-channel surround sound using AI Sound Pro+.
All speakers in the LG Sound Suite use speaker units from Peerless, a long-standing audio brand known for high-performance speaker components. This is aimed at delivering consistent sound quality across the entire system.
LG Sound Suite will be showcased at CES 2026 from January 6 to January 9. Pricing and availability details have not been announced yet.
