DJI has announced a new action camera called the Osmo Nano. It is a small and lightweight device that can be clipped or mounted on different surfaces, including hats, helmets, and lanyards. The camera weighs only 52 grams and is one of the most compact models the company has released so far.

Osmo Nano

The Osmo Nano is designed to record hands-free video. It comes with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is larger than what is usually found in cameras of this size. The device can record video in up to 4K at 60 frames per second and also supports slow-motion recording at 4K/120fps. Features such as image stabilization, horizon leveling, and a wide 143° field of view are included.

For outdoor use, the camera is waterproof up to 10 meters without extra housing. DJI is also offering an accessory called the Multifunctional Vision Dock. This dock adds a small touchscreen, works as a charging station, and can transfer files at high speeds. A fully charged setup can provide close to 200 minutes of recording at 1080p.

Audio recording is supported by dual microphones built into the device. There is also an option to connect external DJI microphones directly, without needing a separate receiver.

The Osmo Nano supports several shooting modes, such as gesture control, automatic recording, and a pre-recording option that saves a few seconds of footage before the record button is pressed.

The camera is available in two storage options, 64GB and 128GB. Prices in Europe start at 279 EUR. Accessories, such as mounts and filter sets, are being sold separately.
