Square Enix and Artdink Corporation have released Triangle Strategy for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The tactical RPG is now available at a launch price of $41.99 until September 4. After that, it will be sold at $59.99. The game has also been released on PC via the Microsoft Store.
Triangle Strategy was originally launched for Nintendo Switch in March 2022. It later came to PC through Steam in October 2022 and was released for Quest 2 and Quest 3 in October 2024.
The game comes from the creators of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler. It is set in the war-torn world of Norzelia, where three nations struggle for power. Hyzante controls salt, Aesfrost has iron, and Glenbrook lies between them. Their uneasy peace, born after the Saltiron War, is now at risk as new conflicts rise.
Players will face tough decisions that shape the story. Choices are influenced by Utility, Morality, and Liberty, and outcomes depend on how allies vote using the Scales of Conviction system. This branching narrative leads to multiple storylines and endings.
Combat is turn-based and relies heavily on terrain, elevation, and unit coordination. Players can recruit from over 30 characters, each with unique abilities, to build their strategy.
The game features Square Enix’s signature HD-2D art style, blending pixel graphics with modern visual effects, similar to Octopath Traveler and Live A Live.
For fans of Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, Triangle Strategy offers a fresh yet familiar tactical RPG experience.
