OPPO has officially launched the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro in India. Oppo positions these phones a performance-focused yet daily-driver-friendly devices.
Both phones feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED display. The display panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1600 nits peak brightness. It also has AGC DT-Star D+ glass protection to avoid scratches.
K13 Turbo packs an Octa-Core Dimensity 8450 4nm processor and Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. The K13 Turbo Pro has an Octa-Core Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 4nm Mobile Platform and Adreno 825 GPU. OPPO K13 Turbo comes in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models. OPPO K13 Turbo Pro is offered with 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants.
The most interesting feature of these phones is the built-in active cooling fan on the back. OPPO calls it the Rapid Cooling Engine. It has ultra-thin 0.1mm fan blades, spins up to 18,000 RPM, and increases airflow by 20%. The design uses an L-shaped duct to reduce air resistance, making cooling more efficient. The fan also has 13 ultra-thin fins to improve heat dissipation by 3x.
Both phones have a 50MP main camera with the OV50D40 sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP Sony IMX480 selfie camera.
These phones also have an in-display fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. Connectivity options include 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C.
OPPO has made the K13 Turbo series fully waterproof with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 ratings. That’s impressive because the phone has an air-cooling system and still manages to offer water resistance.
OPPO is also selling the Turbo Cooling Back Clip for Rs. 3,999, which can drop temperatures by up to 13°C.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C. Both models come with a huge 7000mAh battery and 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
