OPPO has launched a new budget 5G smartphone in India—the OPPO A5x 5G. It is the successor to the OPPO A3x 5G and comes with several upgrades, including a better display, stronger build, and a bigger battery.
The OPPO A5x 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It can go up to 1000 nits of brightness which makes it easy to use even in bright sunlight. The phone runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15.
The phone is built for tough use. It has MIL-STD-810H certification. It has passed military-grade tests for heat, moisture, and shock resistance. It also comes with IP65 dust and water resistance. One of the highlights of the phone is its 360° Armour Body. OPPO says it uses flagship-grade reinforced glass that is 160% stronger than before. It also has a high-strength alloy frame to make the phone more durable.
The OPPO A5x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, the same one used in the A3x. It has 4GB of RAM (plus up to 4GB virtual RAM) and 128GB of storage, which is expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The smartphone has a 32MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.
You also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. It also has 5G NA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C connectivity options.
The OPPO A5x 5G packs a 6000mAh battery and supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. The battery can go from 0 to 30% in 21 minutes, and a full charge takes about 1 hour and 24 minutes. The company claims the battery will stay healthy even after 1,700 charge cycles.
