It seems Apple is finally adding a charging time estimation feature to the iPhone. So, you know how much time it will take to charge your iPhone. 9to5Mac spotted the code for ‘BatteryIntelligence’ in iOS 18.2 beta 2. This code calculates the iPhone’s charging time. It also lets users opt for notifications when the phone reaches a specific charge level.

This feature will be helpful in many ways. When you are in a rush, it can provide you estimated charging time. Since the charging speed varies depending on the power adapter you use, you can also use this feature to know what adapter is doing better job.

Currently, the feature seems inactive and incomplete. Apple is still working on it and will enable it in later updates.

The charging time estimation feature has been available on Android phones for a long. MacBook also shows the estimated charging time in the Battery menu. So, adding it to the iPhone seems a good move.

iOS 18.2 beta brings several features such as Genmoji, Image Playgrounds, ChatGPT integration, and Visual Intelligence. Apple’s iOS 18 is a feature-rich OS update that brings the power of AI and also provides a deeper integration of ChatGPT. With each sub-update of iOS 18, Apple is adding new AO features under Apple Intelligence.
