Apple has today unveiled its latest iPhone 16 lineup with iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro max models. These phones are made using grade-five titanium and will be available in four colors. Both models are rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch Display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with a 6.9-inch display. Both screens are larger than their predecessors and feature thinner bezels
These new iPhone models pack the latest A18 Pro Chip that has a 16-core CPU and a 16-core neutral engine. It claims to run AI features up to 20 percent faster than on the iPhone 15 Pro. It is also optimised for running large generative models. The chip has 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It also boasts 20% less power consumption.
There’s a 48 megapixels fusion camera along with a 48 megapixels ultrawide camera, and a 12MP 5x telephoto camera. Apple also added the same Camera Control button to control the camera.
The most notable thing about the camera is the ability to record 4K video at 120fps. Users will also be able to adjust playback speed in the Photos app while watching the video.
Apple also added four “studio quality” mics that bring spatial audio recording capability while recording spatial video. Users can also switch between audio mixes after capture.
The Voice Memos also makes it possible to layer tracks.
Apple also claims that the iPhone 16 Pro smartphones come with a larger battery to deliver the best battery life ever in an iPhone.
The iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999 and the Phone Pax starts at $1,119. The iPhone iPhone 16 Pro Max has 256GB of base storage. Pre-orders begin this Friday and shipping starts on September 20.
