Xiaomi just announced its latest smartphone Redmi Turbo 3 in its new Turbo series in China. This phone marks the launch of a new Turbo series for high-end phones in the mid-range segment.
Redmi Turbo 3 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It also has up to 2400 nits peak brightness and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection to protect the display from scratches.
It packs an Octa Core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 4nm processor and Adreno 735 GPU. The phone comes in 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB models. Ut uses LPPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Redmi Turbo 3 also has a 4800mm² ultra-large circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design.
Redmi Turbo 3 runs HyperOS based on Android 14. It also has an Air Gestures feature that lets users control the phone without touching the display. The company also added several AI features such as live subtitles, AI summarization, and more.
The phone has 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and OIS. It also has 8 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX355 sensor. For selfies, it has 20 megapixel camera. The camera app also features an AI-based object eraser similar to Pixel’s Magic Eraser. This tool can remove any object from a photo.
Redmi Turbo 3 has an in-display fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor. It also has stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 be, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS (L1 + L5), NavIC, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1, and NFC.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. It promises to charge the phone 50% in 12 minutes and 100% in 35 minutes.
Redmi Turbo 3 has a right-angled frame and a three-sided equal-width design. It features a plastic-free straight design. The phone is also IP64 dustproof and waterproof. It comes in Black Crystal, Green Blade, and Ice Titanium colors.
Redmi also introduces a Harry Potter Limited Edition inspired by the “Seven Horcruxes.” It has a magical aesthetic appearance and classic element themes.
Redmi Turbo 3 comes starts at 1999 yuan for 12GB + 256GB. The Redmi Turbo 3 Harry Potter Limited Edition comes only in 16GB + 512GB configuration. It is priced at 2699 yuan.
