Google today released the first Developer Preview (DP) of Android 15. The developer preview aims to provide an early version of Android 15 to developers.

Google has also confirmed that another Developer Preview will be released in March followed by Beta releases I April and May. The company has scheduled to release the final release after July.

Android 15 Developer Preview

Android 15 will bring support for partial screen sharing. So, users can share or record just an app window rather than the entire device screen. The upcoming Android update will add a Privacy Sandbox for improved privacy and security. Privacy Sandbox will limit the data third parties can access.

Google will also provide developers with more precise control of camera hardware and take advantage of premium hardware features.

Interested consumers can flash a system image onto a Pixel 6, 7, 8 series, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet devices. Developers can now start building apps for Android 15 and test their apps for the upcoming Android version.
