MSI unveils its new handheld gaming console powered by Intel’s Core Ultra chip

MSI just announced its handheld Windows gaming PC dubbed MSI Claw at CES 2024. It aims to compete against Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go.

The most notable thing about MSI Claw is that it packs Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel Arc Graphics. It comes with Intel’s XeSS technology that uses advanced AI upscaling algorithms for a smoother gaming experience. The device also uses Cooler Boost Hyperflow, MSI’s thermal technology design, to keep the temperature under control during extended gaming sessions.

There’s a 7-inch full HD display with 120Hz refresh rate. Users can customize personal macros for certain games. Gamers can play Windows titles along with Android games. MSI claims that users can easily play AAA games on the handheld console. It packs 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM. The base model has 512 GB SSD storage and the top model has 1TB SSD.

It has been designed to keep comfort and precision in mind. It also features RGB ring lights around the joysticks and RGB-illuminated ABXY buttons. The device packs two 2W speakers to deliver immersive and accurate audio for gamers.

It packs a 53Wh battery that is larger than ROG Ally’s 40Wh battery. MSI claims that the battery will last two hours under full workload conditions

MSI Claw is available in three variants starting at $699. The top model is priced at $799. We have nod details about availability. All models will be bundled with a 65W PD charger in the box
