Microsoft has renamed yet another product and dropped Bing branding from it. Bing Image Creator is now known as Image Creator from Designer. This text-to-image generator AI tool was announced in 2022 and became available in public preview in April 2023.
Image Creator from Designer uses OpenAI’s DALL-E AI model for generating graphics with text prompts. It now uses OpenAI’s most recent DALL-E 3 model. The service is still in public preview and is completely free. There is no information on when it will become generally available.
Microsoft also dropped Bing branding from Bing Chat and renamed it to Copilot. Bing Chat Enterprise also became Copilot Pro. Now it seems Microsoft wants to prioritize its Copilot branding.

Microsoft introduced Bing as a search engine and will continue to use the brand for its search services and features. Bing brand couldn’t become as big as the company expected from it. So, it is wise to keep new AI products under a different branding. That’s why Copilot came into the picture.
