Microsoft is increasing the subscription price of Xbox Game Pass starting next month. This price hike will be effective in most countries including India.
In India, the monthly subscription price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is Rs 499 and it will be increased to Rs. 549. Game Pass for the Console is currently priced at Rs 349 and it will become Rs. 379 from next month. There is no change in Xbox Game Passes for PC.
If you are an existing Game Pass monthly subscriber, these recurring prices won’t take effect until August 13th. New Xbox Game Pass members will see the new prices starting July 6th. If you pay yearly, you will see the new prices when you renew next time.

This is the first time Microsoft is changing the prices of Xbox Game Pass since its launch in 2017. The company also notes that the price hike has nothing to do with the Activision Blizzard deal. This follows a general trend in price hikes in entertainment subscriptions over the past few years.
Microsoft is also increasing the price of the Xbox Series X in several countries starting in August. But, the price will remain the same in the US, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia. There is no change in the price of the Xbox Series S.
