It seems WhatsApp will soon let users share screens while on a video call. The company has started testing the feature in the latest beta version of the app for Android. During a video call, there will be a screen-sharing icon in the toolbar located at the bottom of the screen. Tapping it will ask if you really want to share your screen. If you tap Start Now, screen sharing will begin. You can stop screen sharing at any time.

At this moment, I cannot confirm if screen sharing will be available in only individual video calls or also in group calls.

Screen sharing is a feature offered by several calling apps including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Skype. Apple’s FaceTime also lets users share screens on calls. Screen Sharing during calls is a helpful feature.

WhatsApp has been working on several new features and also added a few recently, Now users can edit chats, lock chats, use WhatsApp on multiple devices, and more. Screen sharing will surely make the WhatsApp experience even better.
